The people of Ogbaru Community in Anambra State have commended the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze for his numerous empowerment packages for them as well as the effective representation he has continued to offer his Ogbaru two constituents.
Some of the beneficiaries of Rt.Hon.Udeze’s Constituency empowerment materials including Ms.Rosemary Ugochukwu, Mrs.Ebere Oduma and Mrs.Chioma Chukwuma among others, handed down the commendation at Atani, Ogbaru Council Area during Udeze’s Constituency briefing and empowerment programme.
The Speaker who distributed assorted sewing machines, grinding machines with generating sets and various farm inputs to his constituents, also enrolled 300 persons into the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme.
Mr Emma Madu, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker disclosed the efforts of good governance been attracted by the Speaker to his constituents in a press release made available to journalists.
Recall that Udeze had been making frantic efforts towards the upliftment of the living standard of his constituents in many ways such as provision of skills acquisition, agricultural revolution, youth empowerments as well as aiding the recruitment of teachers and health workers and refurbishing of about five health centers, all for the people of Ogbaru two constituency.
The Speaker while rolling out his stewardship, noted that he had ensured that the House of Assembly under his leadership enacted laws that are beneficial to his constituents including the Anambra State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, Anambra State Electricity Law, Homeland Security Law among others already signed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
He assured them that the fight against insecurity in the area especially in Ogwuaniocha, Ossomala, Umunankwo and Atani is comprehensive, adding that his interventions in renovation of police stations, support to Ogbaru strike force and accommodating the Udo Ga Achi Security Outfit have started producing positive results.
The Speaker commended Governor Soludo for constructing the Atani-Ozubulu road with new bridge, promising that Ogwuikpele Akili-Ogidi and Obeagwe communities will soon be reconnected to the National Grid.
The Speaker’s empowerment and constituency briefing was well attended by stakeholders, relevant government officials as well as APGA leadership.End
