Anambra Police Command has lost two of its gallant officers to gunmen earl hours of October 3 in Uruagu Nnewi, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra.
The police command in Anambra has launched manhunt on armed men that murdererd two of its police officers and urged public with useful information to come forward.
SP Tochukwu Ikenga,Anambra police command, Public Relations Officer, (PPRO)said in a press statement he made avaliable to journalists in Awka on Thursday.
Ikenga said that the Command seeks information from eyewitnesses and other sundries to aid Police operations ongoing in Nnewi area of the state.
The PPRO disclosed that primary information available to them reveals that the armed men started shooting on sighting the police Operatives and threw an Improvised explosive into their Operational vehicle which claimed lives of two of the Operatives.
He said that the two officers paid the supreme price while the vehicle caught fire during the attack.
Ikenga said that the Command calls on members of the Public especially the eyewitnesses to aid the ongoing Police investigations in the council area.
