The Labour Party (LP) Woman Leader in Ezeagu local government Area of Enugu State Surv Mrs Philomena Onyejiuwa has continued from where she stopped before the last 2023 general election that saw Ezeagu women coming out in full force to vote for labour party candidates both at the federal and state.
It would be recalled that Surv. Philo, as she is popularly called, was so outstanding in her efforts to mobilize Ezeagu women that saw her earn so much accolades from the State Party hierarchy.
In a meeting which she facilitated at Olo the woman leader philosophically and assured the ward leaders who attended the expanded meeting that they did it last year and today the labour Party member representing Ezeagu /Udi federal Constituency Rt Hon Barrister Sunday Cyriacus Umeha has become a reference in exemplary representation with his efforts to ensure equitable democratic dividends amongst the youths, women and Students.
She noted that the coming LG election will be free and fair as the Ensiec which will conduct the election has given their word that it will be a free and fair contest.
In all, the woman leader urged the ward leaders to go back to their various Wards to do what they know how to do best by mobilising the women ahead of the September 21 2024, Council election.
