The Anambra Police Command Commissioner, CP Nnaghe Itam has ordered the detention of a police patrol team member over the murder of unsuspecting person along Owerri road.
SP Tochukwu Ikeng, Police Public Relations Officer Anambra State Police Command disclosed this in a press release to journalists in Awka.
The release noted that a preliminary investigation indicates that among the patrol team, a police corporal was the suspect of the act.
Ikenga said that the CP had directed immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department, (SCID), Awka.
The release stated that the CP sues for calm and assures that the Command will ensure a thorough investigation into the case for justice to prevail.
Ikenga said that further development shall be Communicated to the public.
