PROFILE OF A LEADER AWGU NEEDS TODAY.

Sometime early this year, labour party faithfuls had their primaries, to choose who will bear the party’s flag, come this forth coming local government chairmanship election, the result of this was the emergence of an erudite candidate, a seasoned one indeed.

On the 5th of this month, August, due to some dynamics in the nation’s political calendar, a repeat of the Primaries was neccesitated, and this same candidate still emerged. This is no other person than Mr. Aganigbo Cajetan Chidozie and this goes to prove the point that if you pass gold seven times through the fire, it will rather come out purer.

Mr. Aganigbo Cajetan Chidozie, From Ihe ward (Amagu-village Umuaninem – kindred),until this time has being the Labour Party chairman of his ward, a shrewed business man, capable of turning nothig into something, and something great indeed.

.

He was one of those secret pillars who made LP what it is both at the local government and at the state level. A man of the people, a responsible politician, very thorough in leadership, Mr. Aganigbo Cajetan Chidozie, the in-coming has a wealth of experienced sterning from his vast exposure. He is always calm in his disposition, humble in his approach and decent in every ramification. He is an accomplished husband/father, a man of the people and ready to serve.

Chidozie came from the grassroots hence he is not an alien to the hardship of the less privileged and that of the teaming youths of Awgu local government area.

Upon cursory inquiry, I began to realize some of the reasons that informed the selection of this young man Mr. Aganigbo Cajetan Chidozie by the labour party as their supreme choice for the forthcoming LG chairmanship election.

When you look at the zoning formula for Awgu LGA chairmanship, it is the turn of Awgu North, being the turn of Awgu north, Ihe ward is one of the wards in Awgu north which has not produced LG chairmanship for the first time.

Having gone through this guy’s rich C.V , the labour party did not hesitate in picking him as her timeless candidate.

The nationwide protest against bad government has just come to an end, it is obvious our country andby extension Awgu local government is richly blessed, but the managers of these resources are not in any way the best of their kind. The labour party is here offering Ndi Awgu the very best as she had offered Mr. Peter Obi.

The battle line is already drawn, and it is between darkness and light and you must choose the light. At this moment, no one can afford to be indifferent, we must be out to show that our dear local government area belongs to us and not to a particular few or party.

Finally as the ten days protest comes to an end, it is quite clear that the protest was a failure, simply because Nigerians did not protest at the right time, hence we call on Ndi Awgu LGA to come out enmass to protest with our votes. You must vote and you must make sure that your vote is both counted and that it counts.

This is the time to take back our LGA
Long live Awgu lacal government area
Long live the in_coming chairman
Long live LP.(ebe esere mmadu ato)
