The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Somtochukwu Udeze has described the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha and the Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province,Most Rev.Valerian Okeke as an outstanding Prelate whose spiritual standing and drive have greatly aided the growth and development of the Catholic Church.
Felicitating Archbishop Okeke on behalf of the State Legislature as he marks his 43rd Priestly Anniversary,Rt.Hon.Udeze noted that the Catholic Prelate has distinguished himself among his contemporaries through promotion of practical evangelism and sound church administration.
The Speaker who lauded Archbishop Okeke’s steadfastness in his service to God, expressed gratitude that his Archdiocese is growing from strength to strength to the glory of God.
He enjoined other priests to emulate Archbishop Okeke’s humility, selflessness, dedication and true service to God by upholding the sanctity of priesthood and also by living up to their call.
Rt.Hon.Udeze while wishing Archbishop Okeke more eventful years of service in God’s Vineyard,Prayed God to equip him accordingly to enable him continue to discharge his divine mandate of service to God and humanity.
