The Police Command in Anambra State Anambra State has said that abandoned three-month old baby boy has been rescued by a good Samaritan in Anambra state.
The Public relations officer of the Anambra state police command (PPRO), Superintendent of Police, SP Tochukwu Ikenga said that the baby was picked by the good Samaritan in the early hours of Tuesday where he was abandoned by the yet-to-be identified mother in front of Oraukwu Boys High School, Idemili-North LGA of the state.
He stated that the good Samaritan after picking the child brought him to the Eziowelle Police station in Idemili -North LGA.
According to him, the state police command had already handed the child over to the director of the Welfare Department, Idemili -North LGA.
He, urged any member of the public who can assist the police identify the baby to come forward, and, do so to enable the state police command re-unite him with the mother
